Understanding Them & How They Work

As the Government awards hundreds of Billions of dollars each year, a large percentage are expiring contracts that come up for renewal or recompete. Experienced contractors/businesses research those contracts to determine the expiration date, dollar amount, product or service offered, and the parties involved. Then contact the Prime and agency CO, SADBU and FOIA contacts to get an upper hand on their competition. During this process the contractor/business will gather information to submit and win the bid. Additionally, building relationships with all parties involved for not only that contract, but all others that come through that agency in the future. This is how contractors/businesses attain contracts and build relationships to succeed in the Federal sector
