Pulling Contacts for Marketing Campaigns
Exporting Contacts
These instructions are for exporting contacts for an email campaign. This example is drawn from a Contractors search, but it applies to any search you create. The search parameters in this example are: Florida, 236220 NAICS code, SDVOSB set aside, and Award History checked.

As your results appear, you will see information such as Contractor Name, UEI Code, Cage Code, Location, and POC. To narrow down your search, you’ll need to use multiple search parameters for precision. Exporting is limited to 200 contacts at a time.
Now, you can view contractors individually by clicking the magnifying glass, share a contractor with an email address, or save a contractor to your favorites by clicking the heart icon.
Once you’ve narrowed down your list, you can click the Export button next to Search.

Next, you need to navigate to your downloaded file. You can either use your browser’s download history button located in the top right corner of the screen, or you have the option of accessing the file through your computer’s Downloads folder.

When you open the file, you will see all the data points for each contact in each column. You can then adjust the columns to view the necessary information or import the file into your CRM for an email marketing campaign. The most effective campaigns consist of sequences. These are strategic emails scheduled to be sent a week or so apart, ensuring that the contact notices your request. A best practice is to follow up each email with a phone call, asking them to check their message and respond when they have time.

For instructions on importing, you’ll need to use the help section of the CRM software you’ve chosen to utilize. For instance, for HUBSpot, you would utilize HUBSpot Academy. Each platform should offer video instructions to simplify learning how to use their import feature. If they lack video tutorials, they should provide step-by-step instructions on importing contacts into their software.
